For the most updated information on the VIRTUAL 2020 Race for the Cure, please keep an eye on komencolumbus.org.

Members must submit their registration forms through UFCW Local 1059 in order for the Union to cover their registration fee. Members’ family may submit registration through Local 1059 for half-cost registration fee. Race for the Cure registration for free and discounted costs must be turned in to the UFCW Local 1059 by June 5, 2020.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

The Letter Carriers’ Union and the UFCW partner for the biggest single-day food drive in the country, Stamp Out Hunger. Here’s how it works:
1. Fill a paper or plastic bag with canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned tuna, peanut butter, canned soup, pasta/pasta sauce, or cereal. These are the kinds of healthy non-perishable items hungry families need.
2. On May 9, put your bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox for your letter carrier. Be sure to leave it out with plenty of time before normal mail delivery to be sure your letter carrier sees it!
Not all postal routes are serviced by the Letter Carriers’ Union. The Stamp Out Hunger food drive covers parts of Zanesville, Columbus, Toledo, Lima, Mansfield, Portsmouth, Marion, Newark, Lancaster, and Jackson.

UFCW Charity Foundation Scholarship Deadline

Each year, the UFCW Charity Foundation awards several scholarships of up to $12,000 each to UFCW members or their unmarried dependents under the age of 20. Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
